Module 2 – Feedback reflection and action plan

Overall I feel grateful to have passed Module 2 and feel entirely that I did not give it the attention I should have. Below are reflections based upon the modules feedback and things i propose to do through Module 3 to improve my grade going forwards. In the first two images, my feedback is highlighted in two colours, the green feedback is positive areas of the tutors comments while the yellow are more negative.

There is good reference here to some of my abilities but that this did not always translate. As LO1 only comes from the WIPP in Module 2 this comment can only refer to that. A greater variety of photography would have really helped and this is something I will reflect on at greater length going forwards.

Similar to the comments from LO1, LO2 alludes to a weakened submission as a result of a narrower body of work. The comment highlighted in green here will form a greater contribution to Module 3 in the way of the photography I produce. As with LO1, LO2 is exclusive to the WIPP.

LO3 traverses all three assignments from Module 3. It criticises here a lack of theoretical research, however I felt that my theoretical research had been a strong suit here. Maybe it wasn’t evidenced enough or maybe it was missed. I will need to take special action to ‘signpost’ this over Module 3.

Here with LO4 I feel quite ashamed. As a teacher I am constantly signposting my students to their Assessment Objectives and what they should be doing to achieve them. So why as a student on this MA have I been negligent of them? Through Module 3 I will be more attentive to them.

Although I still have some elements of my ongoing research to conclude I intend to investigate the given names, as well as ones given during this weeks forum, to add into my research.

This term ‘cultural contextualisation’ has always bugged me as ‘academic speak’ but is one I need to seek to understand more fully. This will then need to work its way into my own practice.-
