Inspired by Morrells large format photograms on film this ‘shoot’ was carried out on 5×4” black and white film using the same technique as previously used on medium format film. Of particular difficulty here was the scanning of the film. This was largely due to access to large format scanners. Despite this the results aren’t too bad and are shown first in a contact sheet.
As with before, simple adjustments have been used to try and improve the images (dodging, burning, inversions). The negative images (black ‘sky’) are by far the more successful here. The larger space of the 5×4” helped to create a more effective outcome. This would be even easier at 10×8” and upwards if time and money would allow.
