This ‘shoot’ moved away from keeping to the edges of the image space to create floating forms. At first look I feel they quite resemble carrier bags floating in the sea or the delicate shapes of jellyfish. In the first instance below is a contact sheet of all the images from this roll of film. This is followed by a series of selected and refined images.
The processes applied to the images have been basic with the ‘cleaning’ of the area of the negative around the subject through dodging and then the burning in of the subject itself.
At this juncture I feel these images are less successful than other experiments so far. The ‘floating’ nature of the material in the frame feels rather hap-hazard and careless.
