Meeting Notes & Action Points
The sweet wrappers are by far the more successful, this is largely due to their transparent properties. I’d like to retry these in darkroom form and produce more of them.
Really pleased to be refining and finding my ‘thing’. I feel that the earlier broader experiments need adequately documenting in my CRJ to demonstrate this refinement.
Not a lot was said about the use of the coordinates where the item of rubbish had been found so this is possibly something to discontinue. Not a lot was said either about my idea to find discarded Covid masks.
A few research points were suggested, one of these I’ve already looked at but would like to visit in more depth. These include: Meghan Ripenhoff, Mandy Barker, Almadena Romero and Alexander Mourant.
Although not yet at the mid-point I need to start placing consideration into the form a final outcome would take. This is best lead with an event or a showing of the work in a space. From experience this would best be done in a place which releases itself from the burdens provided by Covid. This will require in-depth consideration and thought over coming weeks.
In the meantime I want to advance my experimentation with exposing transparent plastics but on film rather than paper. The goal of this is to create more easily reproducible images for further experimentation. I would also like to try ‘dry plates’ with liquid light emulsion on glass.
