With a consideration on rubbish and discarded items I made the decision to collect litter during a dog walk. Each time taking a picture of the item in situ using my phone. This phone photo would carry with it the longitude and latitude of where that item was. I have an intention to use this further on. These are shown in contact sheet form below.
The items were then used to produce cyanotypes. The most successful were definitely those that are more transparent such as the sweet wrappers. These prints were then scanned and formed into another contact sheet for display below.
After extracting the GPS data for each of the items original locations I added these as a type element below each of the scans. These here act as a caption or a title and are shown below.
I feel uncertain at where this is heading but will see what is said during the upcoming supervisor session.
