Meeting Notes & Action Points
Presently my focus is too broad and this was feedback from my proposal also. I need to specify more and close in on something more focused. Of particular interest was my experiments with plastic in the photogram and consideration here could be paid to the environmental/sustainability inferences of this medium.
Wendy gave much valuable feedback with plenty of more contemporary references to follow up on in the field of abstract photography. Abstraction as proposed may be a ‘red herring’ distracting from vital questions and elements of my methodology. These references to follow up include case studies contained within Canvas and social media projects to also be followed up as well as Foam magazine. Below I have listed action points I want to address before the next meeting.
– View the advised case studies
– Obtain a copy of the current issues of ‘Foam’ magazine
– Research the specific studies recommended
– Refine my practice towards the plastic enquiries that have formed part of my practice so far
