In my pursuit of the works of Sanna Kannisto I made the decision to try and work the with finches my dad keeps in his aviary. Using a blue screen and on camera flash I was able to create and then edit quite effective images which fit well with the work of Kannisto. As individual images I do not feel they will feature in my WIPP but will form part of other images and combinations along the way. First a reminder of the work of Sanna Kannisto is show below.
The next gallery show the images in contact sheet form. This shoot involved a lot of patience and waiting for the birds to be in the right place at the right time. They would often flinch when the camera fired so the first image each time would typically be the best one.
The next gallery show images which I have edited. The post production involved removing the blue through the colour range function and then changing that to the white background. This was generally quite effective with minor adjustments needed to the mask.
