Finnish photographer and ‘influencer’ Kreetta Järvenpää creates these delicately light and choreographed floral arrangements. The use of the darkened background and soft lighting creates a very renaissance feel to these images. The chaos and transition between blooming bouquet and wilting scenes is really stimulating. This makes for a very busy scene which requires a certain taste to observe.
The impact of the soft light is very akin to the kind found in many renaissance paintings as previously mentioned. Historically this would be due to the lack of artificial light sources and artists painting by windows with indirect natural light. The colours and textures of Järvenpääs photographs are almost painterly and give pleasing tones. I will transcript this but do not intend to follow this further than that transcription.
