Saara Ekström

Ekström uses everyday and often mundane objects to form aesthetically pleasing colour palettes for the viewer. Objects are choreographed together to form sculptures in their own right with crisp settings and background.

Some scenes may be considered as random but many of the creative decisions are clear and well thought through. All images are well light with minimal trickery involved, the objects do the talking.

I’d like to create such scenes just by using everyday objects from around my environment and to choreograph these in similar ways. Many of my experiments in the last module involved chiaroscuro lighting techniques. This gives way here to more well light and balanced views.
