Quite an extensive set of contact sheets using the same lighting set up as the previous shoot with thistles. I also experimented with differing methods of presenting it. Most successful, and in line with some of the experiments of McCabe, was to use jewellery clamp tweezers in a stand. These can be seen in certain images and give a different edge to the presentation.
In other cases I chose to use a safety pin suspended with the specimen attached. These had varying levels of success.
