David Chandler – Dan Holdsworth, Essay

In my studies of the work of Dan Holdsworth I have found the essay section of his website to hold a wealth of leads towards development of ideas. Through the main project pages for Holdsworth I will display his works and accompany them with contextual considerations. Here below is an example of an essay about Holdsworths’ practice in general written by David Chandler. The pages shown are where I have printed the original essay, highlighted and annotated it and then scanned it. The pages shown here show that highlighting. The green areas are elements which are note-worthy and would possibly be used and cited further down the line. The areas highlighted in yellow are names and/or projects for further investigation. It is worth noting that in my role as a Photography teacher, some of the green highlighted areas may be in reference to how they could influence my practice in the classroom and to assist my students in their own work.
