These first images towards the project come out of an ongoing interest in photographing power lines and pylons. The mark they leave on our landscape mesmerises me and it is my intention to photograph typically ‘beautiful’ landscapes with the scars of industrial progress laid out upon them.
Although I am very satisfied with them as photographs, conceptually I feel they could be stronger. I feel alternative vantage points are needed to produce stronger images and give a larger sense of perspective.
